Environmental Control
The planning application will be accompanied by a range of technical reports which consider the suitability of the site for the proposed development and have influenced the design.
Technical reports which will be submitted with the application include:

Noise Control
-
Mobile quarry plant is maintained to ensure noise emissions are minimised
-
The use of vegetated screening bunds provide mitigation for noise sensitive properties
-
Strict hours of working are employed to limit operational activity on site to acceptable times
-
Noise levels are monitored as part of the design and assessment process to ensure an acceptable working scheme
Air Quality and Dust Control
-
During dry weather, all haul roads in the quarry are kept damp to minimise dust blow
-
Air quality is monitored as part of the assessment process and during operation.
-
A construction and environmental management plan will be employed to ensure environmental best practice.

Water Quality
-
The water environment within and beyond the site boundary is monitored as part of the designing the site and application assessment.
-
The Environment Agency and Local Flood Authority require that safeguards are met
Ecology and Biodiversity Gain
-
Detailed ecological appraisals are being undertaken, with provision for biodiversity net gain to be made for the development.
